ARCHIVING OR DELETING A STUDY
EnrollNow provides an option to archive completed or inactive studies. Archived studies do not appear in the study dropdown list, but remain accessible to Site Administrators under the Studies section in the Site Admin tab. All study data is preserved, and studies can be unarchived at any time.
How to Archive a Study
Site Administrators can archive studies in EnrollNow by following these steps:
- Go to Site Admin – Navigate to the Site Admin tab in EnrollNow.
- Locate the Study – Find the study that needs to be archived from the list.
- Click "Archive" – In the Actions column, select the "Archive" button.
- Confirm the Action – A confirmation prompt will appear. Click "Archive Study" to finalize.
- Study Archived – The study is now archived and will no longer appear in the study dropdown list.
Admins can unarchive studies at any time if needed.

How to Unarchive a Study
Site Administrators can unarchive a study in EnrollNow by following these steps:
- Go to Site Admin – Navigate to the Site Admin tab in EnrollNow
- Locate the Study – Find the study that needs to be unarchived from the list.
- Click "Unarchive" – In the Actions column, select the "Unarchive" button.

How to Delete A Study
Deleting a study permanently removes the study and all associated study-level data from your EnrollNow site. Because this action cannot be undone, it should only be performed when you are certain the study is no longer needed.
Before deleting a study, it is strongly recommended that you export any study data you may need for future reference, including participant records, reports, or documents.
Permissions Required
Only users with Site Admin permissions can delete a study.
Steps to Delete a Study
-
Log in to your EnrollNow site.
-
Navigate to Site Admin from the main menu.
-
Select Studies to view the list of studies on your site.
-
Locate the study you want to delete.
-
Follow the steps above to Archive the Study. The study must be archived before it can be deleted.
- Once the study is archived. The options under the Action Column change to "Unarchive" or "Delete"
-
Select Delete Study.
-
Review the confirmation message carefully.

-
Click "Delete Study" to finalize the deletion.
IMPORTANT:
Deleting a study removes only the study-specific data associated with that study. All participants and their associated global data will remain in the Registry.
If you also need to remove participant records from the Registry, you should do so before deleting the study. To accomplish this, filter the Registry for participants associated with the study and delete the participant records as needed. Once the participant records have been removed, you can proceed with deleting the study.
Important Considerations
-
Deleting a study cannot be reversed.
-
All study-level participant data, study events, and study-specific records will be permanently removed.
-
If participants exist in your Global Registry, their global profile will remain, but their connection to the deleted study will be removed.
-
Any reports or workflows referencing the study may need to be updated or rebuilt.
If you are unsure whether a study should be deleted, consider deactivating or archiving the study instead so the data remains available for future reference.
