These tools allow you to filter by date ranges, group data into time intervals, narrow results, and adjust the report layout.  **RECENT CHANGE:** The **Time filter** has moved from its previous location to the right of the **Dimension** drop-down and is now included under the **Filter** option. Teams can now apply up to **five different date filter configurations** within a report, providing greater flexibility to refine results and create more detailed reports. ### **Filters** Filters narrow the data included in your report based on specific values, conditions, or ranges. They apply across all report rows and columns without adding additional fields to the report layout. #### **How to Apply Filters** 1. Open the **Filters** dropdown. 2. Select a field from the available Measures, Dimensions, and Custom Variables. 3. Choose a comparator appropriate for the field type. #### **Text Comparators** - **Contains** - **Does Not Contain** - **Equals** - **Does Not Equal** - **Is Set / Is Not Set** #### **Number Comparators** - **Greater Than (\>)** - **Greater Than or Equal To (≥)** - **Less Than (\<)** - **Less Than or Equal To (≤)** 1. Enter the value or values you want to filter by. If you enter multiple values on the same filter line, EnrollNow applies an **OR** condition, meaning a record can match any of those values. 2. Add additional filters to narrow the results further. EnrollNow applies an **AND** condition between filter lines, meaning a record must meet every filter condition. **TIP:**  Filters operate independently of your selected Dimensions and Measures, giving you flexibility to control which data is included in the report. ### **Date-related Dimensions Filter** Date-related dimensions allow you to organize and filter report data using date-related fields. These options are useful for tracking enrollment trends, identifying overdue events, and monitoring contact with participants.  **NOTE:**   Add up to **five(5) date filters** to a single report with one grouping choice. Each filter includes the full set of configuration options previously available only for the primary date filter. When running a saved report, you can review and configure each date filter directly from the **Saved Reports** list.  Available Date Fields - **Date Added to Enrolled** - **Date Added to Study** - **Global Date of Last Contact** - **Active Recruitment Start Date** - **Active Recruitment End Date** - **Event Date** - **Event Due Date** - **Event Completion Date** - **Date-based Custom Variables** ### **How to Apply Time Filters** 1. In Report Builder, open the **Filter** dropdown. 2. Select the date or date/time field you want to filter, such as **Event Due Date** or **Date Added to Enrolled**. 3. The default filter is **Today**. Click the field to change the selection: - Choose a preset time range from the list, such as **All Time**, **Last 7 Days**, **Last Month**, or **Last 30 Days**. - Select **Custom** to define a specific date range. #### **Grouping Data by Time Intervals** To group results by time period: 1. In the next section, select **Grouping**.  Defaults to w/o grouping. 2. Choose a grouping interval: - **Minute** - **Hour** - **Day** - **Week** - **Month** - **Year** 3. The report organizes the results into the selected time intervals—for example, participant counts by month. ### Sorting Data Sorting determines the order of rows in your report. Use sorting to arrange results alphabetically, chronologically, or by the highest or lowest values. #### **How to Sort Data** 1. Open the **Sort** dropdown. 2. Select the Dimension or Measure you want to sort by. 3. Choose a direction: - **Ascending:** A to Z, smallest to largest, or earliest to latest. - **Descending:** Z to A, largest to smallest, or latest to earliest. > **Default setting:** No sorting is applied. ### Pivoting Data for Better Visualization Pivoting changes the report layout by moving selected fields from rows to columns. This is useful for comparing categories—for example, displaying Participant Count by Site with Status values as column headers. #### **How to Pivot Data** 1. In the Pivot control area, drag and drop fields to adjust the layout: - Move a field from the **x axis (rows)** to the **y axis (columns)**. - Rearrange multiple fields by dragging their labels into the desired order. #### Pivoting Requirements - Pivoting requires **at least one Measure** to display data. - Pivoting changes only the **on-screen layout**. CSV and JSON exports use the standard tabular structure. > **Note:** Pivoting is useful for comparing categories side by side, but it is not required for every report. #### Use Case Examples | Scenario | Feature Used | Description | | --- | --- | --- | | View participant enrollments over the past 6 months | **Time Filter + Grouping** | Filter by **Date Added to Enrolled** and group by **Month**. | | Show upcoming visits due within 14 days | **Time Filter** | Filter by **Event Due Date** for the next 14 days. | | Identify sites with the highest participant enrollment | **Sort** | Sort by **Participant Count** in descending order. | -
