What is a Study Definition?
A Study Definition is a JSON file that contains a study’s configuration and structure in EnrollNow. This may include items such as surveys, events, statuses, email templates, SMS templates, and other study settings.
A Study Definition does not include participant data. It only contains the study’s setup and configuration.
Study Definitions can also be used to recreate a study in another instance or import parts of one study configuration into another study.
When Might EnrollNow Request a Study Definition?
The EnrollNow team may request a Study Definition when additional review is needed for a reported issue. Providing the Study Definition allows our team to review the study’s configuration and troubleshoot the issue more efficiently.
How to Export a Study Definition
Users with Study Admin permissions can export a Study Definition.
How to Export a Study Definition
- Navigate to the Study Settings tab.
- Select Details.
- Click the Export Study button.
- Save the JSON file to your computer when prompted.
The exported file name will default to a format similar to: export[Study Name].json
NOTE:
A Study Definition does not include participant data.
