Report Builder - Saving, Sharing & Exporting

If you and your team frequently run the same reports, save your report configuration to use it again with the latest data. Saved reports appear under My Reports. When you share a report with other users on your account, it appears under their Shared with Me section. Any changes to the saved report are reflected in both locations.

Saving a Report

After selecting at least one Measure or Dimension, the Save Report button appears in the Report Builder. Click it to open the report details window and complete the following fields:

  • Report Name

    • Enter a descriptive name that makes the report easy to identify.

    • Report names do not need to be unique.
    • Saved reports appear alphabetically by name on the Reports tab.
  • Description

    • Add a description explaining the report’s purpose and add any helpful information for other team members.  This information could include the Measures, Dimensions, and Filters used to build it.

    • The description appears when the report is run and helps users understand the results.

  • Shared Users

    • Search for and select one or more users on your account to give them access to the report.

    • Each user’s study permissions determine the data they can view. The same report may display different results for different users.

    • Once saved, the report appears on the Reports tab.

  • Running Saved Reports

    • Saving a report stores its query—the settings used to retrieve and organize the data. Each time you run the saved report from the Reports tab, it displays the latest account data available to you.

  • Exporting Report Data

    • To keep a snapshot of the results at a specific point in time, use the Export option and choose which format you would like to use.

      • Download Report Page (CSV)

        • Downloads only the current page of the report as a CSV file.
        • Includes any pivot table settings configured in the Report Builder.
      • Download All Data (CSV)

        • Downloads the full dataset across all pages of the report in a single CSV file.
        • Note: This option does not include pivot table parameters. If you need to retain pivot formatting, consider using Excel’s Pivot Table tool to reformat the data. Learn how to create a pivot table in Excel.
      • Download All Data (JSON)

        • Downloads the complete dataset in JSON format, suitable for technical users or system integrations.
